"Occupy" Is Spreading Across The North State

New Local Groups Springing Up Every Week

With official locations in Redding, Chico, South Lake Tahoe, Ukiah, Fort Bragg, Eureka, Arcata, and at Humboldt State, the “Occupy Movement” is growing every week. Started on Wall Street in New York, a leaderless organization is springing up, and threatening the stability of the status quo within our broken political system. I did a little more research and also found events over the last few days in Yreka, Marysville, Red Bluff and Mt. Shasta.  The number that protested Saturday in Redding grew from 100 to 200 in the two hours that were spent in front of Chase Bank on Cypress Ave.

For those that wonder what it’s all about, the best description is everybody knows the system is broken, unfair, and costly to maintain. Our rights and freedoms have been under fire for some time as our laws are changed to benefit profits, and minimize humans.  Now the people are rising up in strong retaliation to kick corporate influence, and the evil that goes with it out of our politics once and for all.
