Discrimination and the persecution that goes with it seems to be very difficult to get rid of completely in our society.  As soon as you think people have progressed, and realize everybody has rights, another group is found to discriminate against, to persecute, to hate, and to fear. The newest hated group is the people who prefer holistic health practices such as medicinal marijuana over the mainstream medical model.

I recently came into possession of the most discriminatory piece of work I have seen. According to James Benno who sent this to me, he called the Federal government and was told that local agencies are who set such rules, none are being set by the federal government. I am starting to believe we are seeing from our local officials what the Republican response will be if they are elected. They are even assuming for some reason they will be elected,  therefore garnering amnesty for the complete violation of rights that they are inflicting on the populace.  They will not be elected, Occupy is running on idle right now, and that will not be the case next fall.

The document is not real, in that the local Redding officials who put it out do not have the authorization, ability, or legal right to discriminate on such grounds, and in fact this letter is being sent to the District Attorney for review for criminal charges.  It is unfortunate that this document was not signed by someone,  but investigation should yield it's author.

I am honestly ashamed of my community, and their refusal to replace their ignorance with facts.  Cannabis is showing promise in many areas to solve the very things that it solved for thousands of years before some religious zealots of the false churches, and corporations who didn't want the competition, conspired to take it away from humanity.  As a healer, marijuana is looking to be one of nature's greatest gifts, and the fact that my own father died of cancer while this information was being suppressed is inexcusable!  And to see our public officials discriminating against people based on only their own ignorance will not be tolerated by the people of Redding!
