Chris and Bob Mitchell create a place for Shasta Country Cititzens for Democracy, Occupy, and other organizations to pool resources.

Occupy Organizers Jeanette and Dustin use the resources at Free Thought Central to get the word out.

A "progressive center" has opened at 2675 Bechelli Lane #3 called "Free Thought Central."  Chris and Bob Mitchell, the founders of Shasta Country Citizens for Democracy, have put together what Chris describes as a "meeting place for progressives, as well as a facility for showing films, and having get togethers."  Free Thought Central is also taking donations for canned foods and other packaged goods for people in need.

Free Thought Central's Grand Opening is today January 7th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  Many books have been donated for reading, and there is a computer for browsing the internet.  You will no doubt find stimulating conversation should you decide to visit. Free Thought Central has also been used by Occupy for the last two General Assembly meetings .
